Overview

For all interested in exploring and developing their artistic ability, no matter what their starting level or experience, the Visual Arts program is for you!   Observation and realistic drawing are emphasized, so students gain confidence and a strong skills base.  Theory backed projects, based on the elements and principles of art, teach students to design and create more successful images and to become visually literate.  Creativity and visual problem-solving approaches are explored in a variety of media from pencil, colour pencil, oil and chalk pastels, ink, watercolour, tempera and acrylic paints.  Be exposed to the artists and styles that form our rich visual and cultural heritage.
