Overview

JMHS is offering an exciting option choice for students who are interested in hair and esthetics! Cosmetology, or the art of beauty, allows students to learn basic career skills and develop an appreciation for personal grooming.  Students will participate in hairstyling, haircutting, hair coloring, skin care, facials, manicures, make-up artistry, massage, waxing, and industry trends. Opportunities are provided for students to attend workshops, trade shows and participate in Skills Canada competitions. Students gain confidence and knowledge about the growing industry and as they move through the levels they learn skills they will use and appreciate for a lifetime
